A half open window
Late morning smiles

Serene drizzle
A cup of mint tea
On the kitchen table

Splashing water
Children’s laughter in a distance
New spirits awaken

Snowy sidewalk
A couple holding hands
Leaving footprints behind

Sparkles of snow
An old soul running
A young heart waiting

December drizzle
Short days long nights
High hopes for a warm heart
